LENLEY FARMER, CPC

Serving as Vice President and Co-Founder of GlassFarm Placement Services, LLC, Lenley brings to the table over 18 years of Employment Industry experience.  She has been a Technical Recruiter for over 13 years and has served in HR for 5 years.  Lenley holds an AS Degree in Business Management and a minor in Computer Science. In 1992, she helped start a Temporary Staffing division due to the need to find secretarial positions for the wives of those programmers she was relocating and the many friends that needed work in that recessionary time.  She managed the Temporary Staffing division until 1995, when it split off and became its own successful company. In 1999, she started a Professional Placement Division, specializing in the full-time direct hire of IT and Management professionals throughout the Southeast.  As Director of that division, Lenley made it profitable the very first year.  In 2000, she moved into full-time Sales and Business Development to round out her career.  Lenley has served as Senior Technical Recruiter, Recruiting Manager, Director of Recruiting, and Director of Professional Placement, managing, hiring and training new recruiters, while  still being a "Top Producer" for a national consulting firm for over a 13 year span.

Lenley earned her Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation in 1991.  That same year she started her 10-year tenure on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Association of Personnel Services (SCAPS).   She has served as a two terms President of SCAPS (1996 - 1998). She has held almost every position on the Board to include Educational Director (2000 & 2001) and CPC Trainer since 1991.  Lenley was honored to be the recipient of the Charles B. Griffith Memorial Award for the SCAPS Member of the Year in 2000.  She has served on the Secretary of State's Employment Industry’s Blue Ribbon Committee since 1995 which deals with Legislative issues that impact employment in SC.   She is also a Notary Public.  She has also been recognized by the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) as a State Leader for her dedication and commitment to the industry.

Over her 18 years of experience, Lenley has helped hundreds of people find new jobs and further their careers and she has touched the lives of thousands.  As many clients and candidates will tell you, she is dedicated to finding out about you as a person, a family member, a community member, as well as how to serve your technical and career needs.

On a personal note, Lenley is happily married for over 12 years and the proud mother of 2 beautiful boys.  She is active in her community as well as her church.  Lenley has been an active supporter for over 30 years with Easter Seals Buck-a-Cup to Brace-a-Child Campaign.  Lenley's lifetime accomplishments include Junior Olympics (1974), Miss Cayce-West Columbia (1983), runner-up in Miss South Carolina Pageant (1984), and a former Millie Lewis Model.    She has been a licensed Realtor since 1980.   Born in Ohio, Lenley has lived in South Carolina for over 25 years and feels this is her home and a great place to start and grow a woman-owned business.

JENNIFER GLASSER, CPC

Serving as President and Lead Recruiter of GlassFarm Placement Services, LLC, Jennifer has been a Technical Recruiter for 4 years.  In her first few months, she developed, created, staffed, trained, and managed a team of Research Assistants.  She was then promoted to Technical Recruiter.  After being a Top Producer and voted South Carolina Association of Personnel Services (SCAPS) Rookie of the Year her first full year, she was promoted to Senior Technical Recruiter.  She has remained a Top Producer, every year placing 35-45 people in both Direct Hire (Permanent) and Contract positions.

She also helped create a computerized testing and tracking system, working closely with experienced programmer to develop the actual test questions.  She is a member of several AS/400, DB2 and Systems Programming User and Discussion Groups.

She earned her Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) accreditation in 1999.  Jennifer immediately saw the value of being active in the industry and has been on the SCAPS Board of Directors for the past three years.  As 2nd Vice President, she has planned the semi-annual conferences for the past three years and has become friends with several nationally recognized trainers.

Jennifer was born and raised in California.  She graduated from the University of California at Davis with a BA in Russian Studies.   After traveling to 11 countries, including Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Greece, England and Ireland, she landed in South Carolina, which she now calls home.  She was a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence, CCI.  She spent two years raising and training a dog, Guy II, to be an assistance dog for the physically disabled.  He then went to New York for polishing for six months.  He didn’t quite make the cut, but is now a trained therapy dog visiting hospitals and homes throughout Columbia.  She is active in the local Jewish community, loves lifting weights at the gym, and Latin dancing.

Jennifer’s style is to get to know someone – to learn about his or her likes and dislikes and what someone is looking for.  She knows that when you are trying to make a “match” you have to match personality, lifestyle and management styles, not just skills.  The “soft skills” are just as important the technical skills.  Most of her placements come from referrals.  Over the years, Jennifer has made many friends of candidates and clients.  She has been invited to their houses for holidays and has even invited some to her house.  Her goal is to get to that level of trust and respect with as many people as possible.
